Maddi Darcey

Maddi is a talented tattoo artist with a deep passion for both art and tattooing. Her artistic journey was significantly shaped by her mother, a well-established artist, which contributed to her love for various art styles. Her parents' love for tattoos also played a significant role in her growing interest in tattoos, ultimately leading her to get her first tattoo from Joe Kintz when she turned 18. 

After completing high school, Maddi pursued higher education at Sydney University, where she successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, focusing on Fine Art. After Uni her interest in the art of tattooing led her to seek out an apprenticeship, which she secured in 2014 at Dee Why Tattoo. There, she had the valuable opportunity to learn the art of tattooing under the guidance of experienced professionals like Joe Kintz and the talented team at the studio. Maddi has been a full time tattoo artist since 2015 and moved with the crew from Dee Why to Whistler Street Tattoo in 2018.

Maddi's tattooing style is a unique blend of influences, including her love for native Australian flowers, as well as neotraditional and traditional tattoo styles. She loves working closely with her clients bringing their ideas to life and ensuring that the tattoos she creates will remain beautiful for a lifetime.
